The Frame of a Friendship
by Lee-Ellen Marvin for Beverly H. Apgar, a friend

We were just getting to know each other. Times were hard, she was struggling with her business but I didn’t know her well and didn’t have the guts to pry into her troubles. I had an intuition that I should have pursued. For that, I am so sorry.

I have built this chair to ask us all to not confuse our economic struggles with our self-worth as human beings.
